Xi Graphics is pleased to announce the release of an updated Summit 2.1 driver for the ATI RADEON 8500. Here's a list of the changes: - fixes random locks during 3D operations (reported in some games like UT and in SGI's Performer application). - corrects cube mapping problems - glIsEnabled(GL_TEXTURE_CUBE_MAP_ARB) didn't work - EXT_texture_lod_bias fixed - corrects some problems seen with SSE/K3D instructions and floating point operations. - corrects some problems with the touchscreen drivers (pressure buttons) and an ELO flushing problem. - there are still some issues being reported by AMD users. Setting AGP to 1X is the only solution at this time. The updated version can be downloaded directly from our ftp site as follows: Linux: ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/linux/workstation/ Solaris: ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/solaris/workstation/ Cordially, Xi Graphics Technical Support ===================== To unsubscribe from this list, please send email to majordomo@xxxxxxx with the message content 'unsubscribe summit-announce'. =====================
