Xi Graphics is pleased to announce the release of new Wildcat III 6110/6210 support as well as updated support for the 5110. Here are the names of the new tar files: Summit_WX-Platinum-3Dlabs-WC5110-2.1-3-LINUX.tar Summit_WX-Platinum-3Dlabs-WC6X10-2.1-1-LINUX.tar Summit_WX-Platinum-3Dlabs-WC5110-2.1-3-Solaris.tar Summit_WX-Platinum-3Dlabs-WC6X10-2.1-1-Solaris.tar These drivers can be downloaded from the following directories for Linux and Solaris, respectively: ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/linux/workstation/ ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/solaris/workstation/ The following are the changes that have been made to these drivers: - New support for the Wildcat 6110/6210 cards. Genlock/multiview is not yet supported on the 6210, but it is planned for the future. - GLX 1.3 added. (As well as SGIX_fbconfig & SGIX_pbuffer) - GL_vertex_array extension has a "count" parameter. Supported in the include file, and in the functions, but not gettable. Minor issue as nobody really uses the "count" parameter. - bad float to int conversion in DrawPixels/CopyPixels/DrawBitmap would cause underflows and a missing line on top of an image that would render to X11-coordinate (*,0). - WC2/WC3 fixed odd texture problem. - fixed fonts issue finally. There was a binary sort inside fontdir.c that was not using the new compare function. - several problems related to WID planes fixed. - corrected problem with fast clear's on the WC2/WC3 - some clipping problems in Open Inventor fixed on the Wildcats - no outline code for the polygon point mode. Added support for point mode. - vertex code overrun possible internally if there were to many per vertex material changes. - forceZ16 is now done via slow visuals. - BackingStore/SaveUnders are back in the [SETTINGS] section. [You have to enable this manually for now] - a fix that could cause the GL_LINE_LOOP primitive to hang the WC2/WC3 Cordially, Xi Graphics Technical Support ===================== To unsubscribe from this list, please send email to majordomo@xxxxxxx with the message content 'unsubscribe summit-announce'. =====================
