The following is a snippet from the release notes describing new
support, enhanced support and bug fixes present in this release:

2.2-14 (all packages)

- Corrected some issues under Solaris seen with heavily threaded
applications on SMP systems, that could cause application or server
  locks and crashes.

- Corrected some initialization problems with Intel chipsets (i830,
  i845, i852, i865).

- Fixed a problem with texturing in the Intel 830, Intel 845 and Intel
  865 drivers.

- Corrected BIOS read problem seen on some ATI IGP chipsets. This
could cause a corrupted display on startup.

- Removed the ability to choose the maximum number of client
connections. This functionality was added in 2.2-12, however
customers reported problems in that clients were being mysteriously
killed. We were never able to duplicate this issue. However, since
a number of customers reported this behavior, we felt the
functionality should be removed pending further investigation, and
to preserve the stability of the X server.

- fixed a problem in the intitialization of input devices upon return
from an APM suspend, or VT switch. This problem could cause the
server to softlock if a device that was present at server startup
time, was unavailable after a restore (a USB mouse on a laptop
that was removed before resuming from an APM event for example).

- Corrected problem on Appian Rushmore that prevented a DFP on the
second head of each controller from being detected and initialized.

- Corrected problem with Wildcat VP560 that caused corrupted colors
  when a DFP was attached.

- Corrected problem with the use of Backing Store and Overlay planes.

- Worked around a problem with interrupts on Solaris for Matrox cards.
If ACPI is being used and the driver locks on startup or behaves
very slowly, you can specify the 'DisableIntDma' property underneath
the '[ADAPTER_INFO]' section in the XQA file to disable interrupts
  in the driver:

   [PROPERTIES]
      DisableIntDma = True;

This will reduce overall graphics performance.

- Certain Dell workstations may require a BIOS update to work
correctly with multiheaded Matrox cards such as the G450 MMS.

- Corrected a problem where client connections would sometimes hang
while connecting to the server, until a VT switch was done.

- Added software implementation of PEX extension. This requires the
  Silver or Platinum edition.

Thank you for choosing Accelerated X!
