Existing Summit users can upgrade to this release for free. The updated servers can be found at: Linux DX ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/linux/desktop/ Linux LX ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/linux/laptop/ Linux MX ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/linux/multihead/ Linux WX ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/linux/workstation/ Linux CX ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/linux/custom/ Solaris DX ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/solaris/desktop/ Solaris LX ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/solaris/laptop/ Solaris MX ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/solaris/multihead/ Solaris WX ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/solaris/workstation/ Solaris CX ftp://ftp.xig.com/pub/Summit/solaris/custom/ Some news: We have received r300 specifications from ATI (ATI Radeon 9500+), so we will be able to support these cards in time. There is no ETA. The following is a snippet from the release notes describing new support, enhanced support and bug fixes present in this release: 2.2-16 (all packages)(*) - a serious bug with pixmap caching that was introduced in 2.2-15 was fixed in this release. It affected all cards, but was only visible in certain configurations (Matrox GXXX DualView for example) - corrected a problem with the Matrox GXXX cards with software cursors (which are used when these cards are configured for DualView). - An issue with Intel chipsets was corrected. The requires the latest xsvc driver (3.0-49). - PEX was wrongly packaged with the Silver edition servers. PEX is only supported on Gold and Platinum servers. - Corrected a DualView problem with the Intel i852/i855 chipsets. - An issue with video overlays beyond a certain size was corrected on Radeon chipsets. - Corrected the 'errno' issue seen with recent linux distributions. * We have had reports of problems with the 3Dlabs Wildcat VP560 relating to use of DFP monitors, and problems related to the RENDER extension. Unfortunately our VP560 was damaged, and a replacement was not recieved soon enough to schedule for this release. We will investigate these issues and release an update when ready. For this reason, the VP560 package is still at version 2.2-15. Thank you for choosing Accelerated X!
