## The following is a snippet from the release notes for this release:

- OpenGL 1.4 is now supported and reflected in the libGL.so library
  version number.

- added ARB_vertex_program extension

This can be disabled by running the following command before
  starting a Direct Rendering application:

export OGL_NO_VERTEX_PROGRAM=1

- added GL_ATI_texture_env_combine3

- added ARB_vertex_buffer_object extension, and fixed several caching
problems with the existing ATI_vertex_array_object extension.

- added GL_EXT_blend_equation_separate extension.

- added support for multiple XVideo Image ports (up to 6).

- added Triple and Quad support within the DualView framework.

- various issues with DrawElements and texture validation could cause
  crashes.

- generateMipMap could start the mipmap filtering at the wrong level
and therefore produce an inconsistant mipmap pyramid.

- major display list improvements, including performance enhancements
and a reduction in the memory consumed.

- addressed Solaris 9 interactivity problem

- installer updates:

  - account properly in Xservers file for Solaris 10 systems.
  - save off /usr/X11/bin/X as well on S10 systems.
  - under Linux, account for TLS versions of GL/GLU

NOTE: S10 b72 is not supported in xsvc yet - a kernel API has
changed. Do not try this on S10 b72 build yet.

Thank you for choosing Accelerated X!
