Instructions for Ordering A License Key On-line

Ordering License Key On-line
There is a License Key Order Form for each Edition of each Summit Series that have Public Demos available on our FTP site. We are trying to be very careful to minimize the chances of customers ordering a License Key for the wrong Series or Edition, because Xi Graphics does not give refunds for License Keys ordered in error.

In the Table below, by clicking on the Series and Edition of the Summit Demo you are running on your computer system, you will be taken to the correct order form for your demo - after you agree to the License Agreement that will pop up first. A copy of that Agreement is reprinted below.

Among other things, the order form will ask for the Product Code that is generated on the computer system on which you are running the demo. The Product Code is shown on the Graphical Setup window.  Here is how to get the Product Code.

Registering the License Key
Note that on the same screen that displays the Product Code, there is a line with "User" and another line with "Organization."

The entries for theses two lines are derived from the License Key itself. The User and Organization entries are determined at the time the License Key is ordered, and once the Key is generated, cannot be changed. If the Key is for Corporate or Gov't use, the Company name or the Gov't Organization name (Army, Navy, NASA, DIA, CIA, etc.) is usually entered as the Organization, and the Department, Product, or Individual named in the case of a company, or the Agency, Project, or Individual as the User.

Ordering Multiple Keys On-Line
Customers who would like to order two or more similar License Keys without having to fill out the bloody form for each, can use the first Product Code, fill out the Order Form with a Comment that "X number of Keys" are being paid for, and alert us via email or phone that more Product Codes will be emailed for the other Keys. This makes life a bit easier on both sides. When sending the other Proeduct Codes, it is helpful if each system has its own unique name for record keeping and followup maintenance in case system failures necessatate replacement keys after repairs are made.

Ordering Summit License Key by Phone
While on-line ordering of License Keys is our prefered method for single orders using a credit card, ordering by phone (or e-mail) can be accomodated. Again, it is important that the customer has tried the demo software and found its operation and performance satisfactory.   A detailed description of the information needed when ordering by phone is spelled out in a document for Purchasing Agents, but can be helpful to others.
